Waste At Lo Stagnone :Found responsible

for how long Lo Stagnone, our nature reserve, will be raped by the destruction of human ignorance?

 

Abandoned boxes and various waste were found, as well as used clothing and even an old copier machine, C / da Ettore Infersa at the gates of the Lagoon Nature Reserve found by Guards Nature Reserve Stagnone Islands. It’s the garbage inspection was performed , among the papers, the guards – directed by the head of the Reserve Roberto Fiorentino and coordinated by Raimondo La Rosa   – they  found a useful test to unmask the author of the unlawful conduct. At the bottom of one of the boxes there was a receipt which reported full name and address of a Marsala citizen that could be the author of this offensive gesture towards the environment. The fact is that the man received at home a fine of one thousand and two hundred euro, double the penalty that is imposed in non-protected areas.

Stagnone Kitesurf , at the gates of the spring  will start an awareness campaign on the care of the Lagoon of Marsala – Lo Stagnone , taking sides on the front line for the preservation and protection of the reserve .

Thanks and goodbye Best Kiteboarding.
After three years of extreme, fun, playful, experimental and interesting moments with Best Kiteboarding the time has come to achieve my goals differently.
Best Kiteboarding has made some great improvements and changes over the past couple years in terms of products and growth. With new investors in place and a strategy to boost the brand and kiteboarding to new heights, it looked like the perfect opportunity for us to collaborate. Unfortunately this collaboration can no longer help me reach my goals, so here is a big thank you to Best Kiteboarding for making me feel part of the family since day one and supporting my vision the best they could. All efforts have been much appreciated, cheers!
Taking ‘Free riding’ to a whole new dimension… as I know exactly what I want and how I want to go about it. Very grateful for the position I am in and that I can let my vision take the lead. Right now I am going to reach out to several kite companies to see if they can and want to supply me with some desired gear. That way I can keep my partners and myself happy whilst orientating on what gear feels good. Surfboard here I come, haha. My health can barely keep up with a trainer kite right now but I’m just very happy and motivated to get more energy and strength back everyday.
My goal is to get: Twice As High!
How? You will see!!
We will take you guys along for the ride… so please sit back, relax and have an epic year whilst we prepare for the awesome time ahead. Developing products, finding the right partners and team is not something that happens overnight but with time I know we’ll boost the sport to a whole new level of epic.

Kitesurfing, Right of way

In this short article we’ll see the rules to follow, everyone should know to avoid unpleasant crossings.
Stagnone Kitesurf is at the forefront to ensure your safety.

• The rider who is about to enter the water takes right of way over who wants to return to the beach.

The explanation is the rider on the beach with the kite in the air is less safe of the one in the water, because it is exposed to the gusting wind near shore.

• the rider with starboard tack (kite between 12 and 3 ‘o clock) takes Right of way over the other, it should maintain direction and speed while allowing the other riders can change their cruising directions.

The explanation must be sought in the navigation code. All sailing on starboard tack take precedence over the tack.

IF YOU PASS UPWIND KITE UP, WHO PASSES DOWNWIND KITE LOW

• If you are riding in the same direction, the fastest rider coming from behind will have to give right of way to the slowest ahead.

For obvious reasons those who precedes and is more ‘slow, unless it is not Aaron Hadlov, can not see if someone comes from behind, so you have give right of way.

• Who rides the wave has priority over others traveling in the opposite direction.

Who surfs the waves has a reduced mobility and less maneuverability, grant priority

• All bathers and users of the beach take precedence over kiteboarders, who have to be downwinded.

A regular user of the beach or the sea is not able to react as quickly as a kiteboarder, it is important to watch over bathers and other users who are nearby so you can avoid them. In addition, the stay downwind of other users, prevents injuries to them in case of loss of control of the kite (losing control substances upwind than swimmers could turn into a clash dangerous since it might overwhelm them).

• To approach to a jump must have a space of 50m downwind and 30m upwind.

Kitesurf in Palermo, where to go?

 

 

Palermo! Pearl of Sicily, nestled between the sea and the mountains.
Palermo, contradictions, the Arab-Norman and the liberty styles that blend with the contemporary.

Less than an hour from the Lagoon of Marsala and Stagnone Kitesurf most school, here the most popular spots are the Mondello beach, Isola delle femmine, and Salinelle in the coast to Cefalù.
But normally Palermo riders, prefer to attend our spot beach and school inside Lo Stagnone due to the short distance with Marsala and they usually back to town daily or maybe spend the weekend together in the name of the wind.

Once in turn, you will simply make new friends and do some real expeditions sharing one car towards lo Stagnone, days of pure fun, caravans of cars full of colorful sunglasses, kites hawaainas and boards.
For the people of Palermo Stagnone Kitesurf, and its beach have become a point of reference, so if you are in Palermo or somewhere else , join us, here wind doesn’t miss us!

 

Over the enormous amount of artistic-monumental and cultural itineraries, (of which we will not talk deliberately not to go off topic) we suggest instead the oldest markets in town, Ballarò Vucciria and Capo: mix culture of smells and tastes that bear witness to a melting pot of peoples crossings between East and West, and at night they become real centers of aggregation in the open for the youth of the city as large number of pubs and bars that overlook the streets when the markets close and people of the night wakes up;

between a glass of zibibbo and sangue (strictly served in plastic cups) it is not difficult to meet characters of the counterculture such as artist Uwe, director Wim Wenders and many others.
And the street food? Stigghiola, panelle, sfincionello, musso and Carcagnolo, sandwiches with the spleen (milza in italia),arancini, we do stop here but the list is endless,.
Do not miss even one of these delicacies from “oily and greasy,” but maybe, avoid going out in kite in the hours of digestion, your kite loops may be affected

Kitesurfing course in Sicily, Marsala Lo Stagnone: all you need to know.

Kitesurfing is a sport on the rise, for everyone, you learn over a weekend.
Who is not fascinated to watch us glide over the waves dragged by a kite?

• What you need to know to take a course in kite?
The kite is a sport very simple and easy, you learn almost two days, following the basic course of about 6 hours.
As pointed out several times in our blog, we do not need any force or physical preparation to begin the sport.

 

• Choosing a suitable school is not easy, you will often meet good kiters improvised instructors with no license or patent to teach kite, real “pirates”; rather choose a school IKO (International Kiteboarding Organization) will always have a master key to kite all over the world. Prefer less crowded schools, do not follow fads.
Schools with fewer clients can devote himself to you, betting on the quality and the relationship with your instructor! Schools more crowded instead will treat you like numbers, will have the line of customers, will watch the clock constantly, passed the 6 hours before the next, if you have learned, they will ask for more money for extra lessons.
